While we were at Newport Beach, Trent
went deep sea fishing, other then that, we
just hung out.
Here is Trent and Aspens famous
trick.
Aspen and Landon
Our second destination was Newport Beach.
Aspen loved collecting shells, Raider loved
chasing sea gulls.
Our first destination was Vegas. We stayed for one
night to brake up the drive. Aspen and Raider
started playing the second we walked into the hotel.

Aspen making a trap for the Leprechaun.
What man doesn't like a beef stick? My men love them.
Aspen and Raider after the gift opening. Aspen
was so sweet and picked out a book to give
to Raider. Raider got, two books, mini tonka trucks,
swim suit, shoes and an outfit from G. and G. Gray.

Raiders First Birthday.

Since its the trendy thing now days to throw
your kids a huge first birthday party, Trent and I
planned an African Safari for Raider. Our plans fell
through. Raider had to settle with a lame ol' family
party. I hope he can forgive us one day :-)
I didn't even let Raider have a piece of his own cake
cause he already licked the batter. I didn't want to clean
up more then I have too.

Better Late Then Never...........

Raiders Birth Story
Finally, the time had come were Trent and I decided to have another baby. I started showing and gaining weight by eight weeks. By the time I was ten weeks, word was out that we were expecting. At my first doctors appointment I had a thirteen week ultrasound. Dr. Haskett said my due date was March 4th, I said it was March 12th. After some debating we agreed on March 7th. Back aches, swollen fingers, peeing all the time, and my feet hurting, all started happening sooner then they had with my pregnancy with Aspen.
At my twenty week ultrasound we found out we were having a boy! Aspen was the first person we told. Trent and I bought some blue balloons and some blue candy to take to Aspens school, that's how we told her. The three of us were so excited. We also found out that I had a low placenta and I would need another ultrasound around thirty-two weeks to see if my placenta moved. If it was still low a c-section was a possibility. Other than that, our little boy looked perfect. Two more weeks went by and the movements starting coming!!! Raider was non-stop kicking, pushing and rolling around inside me. I loved it. At this point my bladder could not handle my running any longer. I continued walking, biking, stair stepper and lifting though.
Sometime in January I had my next ultrasound. The placenta moved, great news. With every doctors appointment my doctor would ask if I wanted to set up an inducing date. Since I am really anti inducing " a week early just cause I'm a wuss and don't want to be pregnant any more" I said no. Doctor Haskett talked me into setting up the induction on March 10th, three days after my due date. I was ok with this because its not good to have the baby in for much longer. Also, Aspen turned six. I quit working.
Thursday March 10th came around and I was shockingly still pregnant. Trent took the day off work cause I was going to have this baby boy. This day was a crappy emotional day. I was playing phone tag with the hospital all day. They were too busy to let me come in. Trent took the day off for nothing. The nurse said I would be first in line for Friday morning. That night as I lay crying in bed I get a phone call. This nurse told me I would be first in line for Monday. I was so mad and very frustrated. I had this "whatever, I will have my baby this weekend anyway" attitude so I didn't care what the nurse said. Sure enough Monday rolls around and again, I am still shockingly pregnant. Trying not to get my hopes up this time, The hospital called at six-thirty a.m. and told me to be at the hospital in forty-five minutes. They also told me to eat something very light. I ate a banana. Trent and I got ready, took Aspen to Grandma Jan's house and off we went to the hospital.
Woot Woot, we are on our way to American Fork hospital. Once we arrived and checked in, the nurse gives me my gown and the process begins. My nurse only had to poke me twice for the i.v. apposed from seven times with Aspen. It was about nine o'clock, I was dilated to a two and already very hungry. Time passes like molasses in winter. Around noon I was at a four, maybe. I kept telling Trent to go get lunch but he didn't dare leave. Since Aspen came so fast the nurse thought it would be good to get my epidural early, while we still had time. I took her advice. I got the epidural before I ever felt a contraction. Trent thought the epidural was gross but of course he watched it all. Finally the doctor comes in and brakes my water. It was way easier then I thought it was going to be. But then again, I couldn't feel anything. Not sure what time it was but I was so hungry and the nurse would not let me eat in case I thew up. Instead of food she let me suck on ice. I was starting to feel light headed, queasy and hot. Trent was staring at me, asked if I was ok, that's right when I threw up. It was around four-fifteen in the afternoon, I was at a ten, almost time to push. Doctor Haskett came in, put my legs in the fun little stirrup things. Trent and the nurse each held a leg. I started pushing at four-twenty-five. It sucked. Two pushes is all Aspen took, But Raider was a whole other story. I pushed, and pushed and pushed some more. It was making me so light headed. Trent let go of my leg for one second to grab a towel for the doctor cause I push out poop that had to be cleaned up, that's right, I pooped. Anyways, as he let go of my leg, my leg fell right out of the stirrup. That was funny, made everyone laugh, expect me. I was hungry, tired, impatient, hot, and I was mad cause Trent was talking to a c.n.a. girl that was in my room, apparently they went to high school together. Sweet huh? Not! Hello, I was trying to push out a baby, I needed Trent to focus with me. Raider was born at four-fifty-five on Monday March 14th. Even though I only pushed for thirty minutes it felt forever. I will never be induced again. Raider was 20' long and 8 lbs 4oz. He was so perfect.

My little family at Darcy Eve Grays baby blessing.
Aspens mind is always thinking of things
to make/invent. Aspen made this car out
of a diaper box and she had a drive in
book-a-thon.
